Vision/Intent
Grow
Our motor vehicle curriculum is designed to help students grow into skilled and safety-conscious professionals. We emphasise the importance of health and safety in the workshop, teaching students how to identify risks and maintain a safe working environment. By developing practical skills and theoretical knowledge, students gain confidence and competence in their abilities, preparing them for real-world automotive challenges.
Learn
Students will explore the key principles and technical knowledge required in the motor vehicle industry, such as understanding hygroscopic processes, the differences between scooter and motorbike transmissions, and the operation of cooling and ignition systems. They will also learn how to pressure test a cooling system, measure battery voltage, and diagnose and repair faults. This knowledge is reinforced through hands-on experience, ensuring a strong foundation in automotive mechanics.
Achieve
Our curriculum supports students in achieving excellence by mastering essential skills and understanding complex automotive systems. Through assessments and real-world applications, students learn why concepts like health and safety, transmission differences, and hygroscopic processes are vital in their careers. By the end of the course, students will be confident in their ability to maintain and repair vehicles, meeting industry standards and opening pathways to further education or employment in the motor vehicle sector.
This vocational curriculum ensures students gain both the technical expertise and professional awareness needed to thrive in the automotive industry.
