We are proud to introduce Harbour Future Skills—a bold and innovative new school provision designed to empower students with the skills, experiences, and confidence to step into their futures with purpose.

At a time when young people face a fast-changing world of education and work, Harbour Future Skills offers a unique combination of learning, hands-on experience, and personal development. This tailored provision is built on three powerful offers that together provide students with a rich, future-focused education.

City of Portsmouth College Transition Programme

A carefully designed college transition programme delivered in partnership with City of Portsmouth College. This offer gives students a real taste of post-16 education by allowing them to select up to two college-level courses based on their personal interests and career aspirations.

By participating in real classes within a college environment, students begin to bridge the gap between school and further education. Each student gets the opportunity to experience what future learning could look like, supporting smoother transitions and more informed choices.

Work Experience & Industry Engagement

In partnership with Shaping Portsmouth, Shape by Solent, and the Solent Careers hub, This brings education and industry together to create real-world opportunities, providing students with workplace experiences, employer encounters, and career coaching across a wide range of industries.

From immersive experiences and employer talks to longer-term mentoring and skills-building sessions, students will gain progressive, hands-on engagement with the world of work. Experiences are tailored, meaningful, and accessible across all Harbour School sites, ensuring every student can explore future pathways, develop employability skills, and gain valuable insight into life after school.

Harbour Sports Academy – Rugby & Football

The academies have been set up to provide a pathway for young players to receive high quality coaching, structured training, competitive opportunities and access to the best available facilities and equipment. The academies combine their sports with Education providing support with English and Maths, which prepares players for life beyond sport.
