Vision/Intent
Grow
In our RE curriculum, we aim to help students grow by exploring their own beliefs and values, as well as understanding those of others. Through the study of various religions, students develop empathy, respect, and open-mindedness. Our goal is to create a reflective and supportive environment where students feel comfortable discussing and questioning different viewpoints, leading to personal growth and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
Learn
The RE curriculum is designed to spark a love for learning through the exploration of diverse religious traditions, ethical dilemmas, and philosophical questions. Students will engage with challenging topics, enhancing their critical thinking, reasoning, and debating skills. We encourage students to analyse different perspectives, form well-rounded opinions, and articulate their thoughts clearly. Our approach ensures that students gain a comprehensive understanding, preparing them for thoughtful and informed participation in the communities that they live in now or in the future.
Achieve
Our RE curriculum is committed to helping students achieve their full potential by providing a rich and engaging learning experience. We set high standards and offer the support and resources needed for academic and personal success. Through a combination of class work, reflective practice, and opportunities for discussion and debate, we aim to cultivate a sense of accomplishment and personal growth. By mastering the skills of reasoning and inquiry, students will be well-prepared to contribute meaningfully to their communities and be equipped to navigate complex moral and philosophical challenges with confidence and integrity.
